For whose look to integrate E-Parking Mobile into their own back office system we have defined here how it works, the requirements of the mobile application and the definition of the data.
There are a number points to remember:
- All communications is via AJAX
- Primary data is required for the application to function sites, offiences etc
- The application will report the operation via series of transactions.
- It is the back offices responsibility to provide and manage the data
- All photos will be stamped with the date and time.
- Photos are reduced to 640×480 regardless of the camera capabilities on the unit. This is to reduce to amount data and time taken to send over GPRS.
- All printing is via a Bluetooth connection and format files control the output.
- All data is stored locally in a SQLite database
- Transactions are sent in the background signal level permiting
- All site reference information like site map should be on a SD Card
- The application should be stored on a flash drive on the unit in case of power failure
- All work on the unit is based on teams, this is be one or more operatives. With clamping this generally two or three but ticketing is generally one.
The operation and communication parameters are set in an xml setup file which must be edited to suit your back office system
